Playa Flamenca
Playa Flamenca is a quiet beach-side residential urbanization, located 30 minutes drive from Murcia San Javier airport and 15 minutes drive from the bustling town of Torrevieja.
The urbanisation made of apartments and villas sits on a well-kept, small beach with sun bed hire available during the summer months.
Shopping
Across the main road, inland from the complex, there is a large modern shopping centre with a major supermarket, many restaurant and bars, banks, hairdressers and boutiques.
Next to the complex the new local police headquarters is situated.
Golf
Three championship courses are within a 10 minute drive of the resort, including the fabulous Villamartin, a frequent venue for the Mediterranean Open.
The Campoamor Golf Course is set amongst the palm and pine trees and is a beauty; nearby Las Ramblas is another magnificent course and a real test of golf skills.
Within a 30 minute drive, you can choose from another eight courses, each with its own unique design, including the world famous La Manga and La Finca courses. All are challenging, but are most enjoyable to play.
Excursions
The Orihuela region, with its many museums, churches, and historic buildings, is well worth a visit. The old part of the town of Orihuela was declared a historic-artistic and monumental area in 1969. There are many noble buildings, six of which are declared Cultural Heritage sites.
Historical buildings and museums can also be visited in the nearby cities of Murcia and Cartagena.
For the lovers of ecological and environmental tourism, visit the lakes of La Mata and Torrevieja, where you can enjoy a mud bath. These baths are renowned internationally for their curative properties particularly for rheumatic, dermatological, heart and respiratory complaints.
Torrevieja, a 10 minute drive away, boasts a marina, waterfront market, street entertainment, shops, numerous cafes, bistros, restaurants, bars, and a beautiful church square. The superb palm-lined promenade and harbour boardwalk are the ideal place to go for that evening stroll.

Tennis, water sports, aqua parks, golf and go-carting are all available close by.
Eating Out
Across the main road there are several international dining opportunities within the shopping centre and further afield, in the nearby towns, there are many tapas bars and restaurants where you can try the local cuisine.
Climate
The Costa Blanca enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold north winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.
In 1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the climate of the area as one of the most equitable in the world - neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination
